Joe and Keaton

Joe Stevens and Keaton Wooden are a songwriting duo and composing team for musical theater, tv, and film. Their musicals The Civility of Albert Cashier, Hills on Fire, and Paper or Plastic have been performed across the country and hailed as “musical genius at work.” 
 
Albert Cashier  was winner of the Chicago Jeff Award for Best New Musical, had readings at La Mirada Theatre, Chicago Musical Theater Festival, New York Musical Festival, the LA LGBT Arts Center, performed at the Colony Theater in Burbank, and developed with Christine Russell (producer, Beautiful, Head Over Heels) and a reading with Tony-winner Michael Mayer.  

Their followup musical, Hills on Fire has been a finalist for the Kleban Prize, the Relentless Award from the American Playwriting Foundation, and the Pipeline Arts Prize, and received a developmental residency with Tony Award winning producer John Pinckard. 

Joe is represented for musical theater by the Gurman Agency. Keaton is represented by Paradigm
